Unfortunately the main census tract for downtown (407) included a big chunk of the hillside (College Ave to the south edge of Prospect Park, and upper Congress to Pawling and Brunswick Road) so I had to subtract those out manually.  The map is interesting, and confirms Nora's report of kids in the Troy Towers at the southeast corner of 6th and Federal - the largest concentrations are still in the Taylor Houses (76 under-18s between the two occupied buildings) and the area between Jacob and Hutton.

Downtown Troy
Age    People
0-17   567
0-14   480
0-4    210
5-9    156
10-14  114
15-17   87

Bottom line is that there are about 500 kids in downtown Troy with little to no access to playgrounds.

I couldn't attach the PDF version with spreadsheet summary and map legend, too big for the google group.  No obvious way to upload a PDF to the KaBOOM! project page, although I was able to upload the map picture below as a higher resolution PNG than the JPG I had to use here to get Google Groups to allow it through.
