Yes, CDBG money could not be used anyway as Downtown is not classified by
the US Census as being a low income census tract.
I would like to see our group meet very soon with George Rogers and start
designing Barker Park -- all of the City Council and the Mayor is behind
this. I think some equipment is available for immediate
installation.
Once the park is completed children will have a play area and we can then
concentrate on the much larger issue of Riverfront Park.
