So, what ever happen with the Path Finding and Way Finding signage, we
were told last year that it was a done deal...yet still no signage and
no discussion about them.

There are at least 3 up. One on west side one at the court house and
one at the market. They are huge, bright and nice!

Murals are up for districts too.

I think that we are talking about two different things.  The kiosks are up.  the wayfinding signs are not.  They would be located at 26 and 52, 38 and 52, interstate exits, 9th and Greenbush, 9th andTeal, 18th and Teal, etc.

There are (7) kiosks up I belive, with more to come this summer.

More mural on the way too.

Just for refrence Jerry is talking about the area specific way-finding
signage - which has not gone up yet.

I called and checked on this yesterday an as I explained that part of
the plan was approved by INDOT and was getting ready to happen last
year, then THEY redlined the the plans THEY approved. Everything that
can be done on the City Gov. side of this is in place.

If your the kind or person that needs someone to blame head on down to
Indy and talk with INDOT.

Is part of the problem that we're including West Lafatette, and
Purdue? THe signage was to be for the "Historic Downtown Shopping
District" and not to include both cities!

Thanks Ken and Chris! That's right! Two different things!

Looking more into this what I understand our city is making huge
strides to get control of our signs! The problem is not the marketing
and combining of both cities (which in my opinion is a fantastic
idea..to dismiss the idea of tapping into a larger market that is less
than a 10 min walk away is crazy! Strength in #'s and collaboration is
great!) it is that signs put on STATE highways must be approved by the
state.

As much as we want to get signs up, the city can't without approval
from Indy. Our city gov like Chris said has done everything.

All things take time.
