The Downtown Taskforce will be starting back up this fall and hitting
the ground at a full run… and you are all invited to attend the first
meeting:

DOWNTOWN TASKFORCE MEETING
October 6th / 6PM - The John Purdue Room – Sergeant Preston’s – 6
North Second Street, Downtown Lafayette

So what is the Downtown Task Force you say… it is a collection of
business owners, individuals, citizens of both cities and the county,
musicians, artistes, visionaries, and just regular caring people who
are devoted to the mission of making downtown the best it can be. It
is our mission to see that the voice of the WHOLE DOWNTOWN is heard,
to be a force for change, to challenge assumptions, and to help
coordinate communication with the powers the guide our city. We work
to find help and support for new downtown businesses and property
owners, as well as give input to our city fathers about what WE, as
citizens of Greater Lafayette, want to see happen to our downtown.

If you feel the call, have an idea, have a complaint, or simply don’t
know how to get more involved with you City here is the chance.
