In November of 2009 the Madison Common Council voted 19-1 to instruct city staff to prepare a feasibility study for a library rooftop community garden and/or green roof. The study is complete and can be found on the right-hand side of the library's green-design page or at the following link http://www.madisonpubliclibrary.org/central/green.html (note that you will need Adobe Reader to view the various chapters of the study).
The DCGG is drafting a formal response to the feasibility study and invites your comment. We are seeking input from people with knowledge of community gardens, container gardening, green roofs, architecture, engineering, carpentry and legal expertise. We ask your help to make sure no stone is left unturned.
If you are interested please get in touch. If at all possible, we would like your comments by April 6.
