There are countless Fortnite Spider-Man skins for players to browse, and enter the Battle Royale island, or the endless Creative Maps, as their favorite web-slinger, or web-slinger's foe. Thanks to the Spider-Verse, plenty of new additions to Spider-Man's gallery join the fight in Fortnite, providing a bounty of outfits for those seeking Marvel heroes and villains.
All Spider-Man skins in Fortnite provide a great sense of personality, as the cross between Fortnite originals, Marvel Comics renditions, Sony's Spider-Man Cinematic Universe, and the Marvel Cinematic Universe, cross together in one gigantic-sized game, allowing Marvel collabs to run free, and provide players with the opportunity and the know of how to get Spider-Man in Fortnite, and for how much, and when they first appeared.
The Miles Morales skin was released into Fortnite as part of their collaboration with Across the Spider-Verse. Miles Morales, as such, is wearing the Spider-Man suit that he created for Spider-Man:Across the Spider-Verse, which has left some disappointed that it was not the first suit from Into the Spider-Verse.
What's great about the Miles Morales Spider-Man outfit is the fact that he looks like he was teleported straight out of his own dimension. The dimensions, cartoonish style, and outfit look brilliant in Fortnite's vibrant scenery. Players also have the choice between two styles, the Earth 1610 variation, and the unmasked Miles Morales style, providing the choice between a mask-on or a mask-off look.
Spider-Gwen is an iconic Marvel character that fans loved from her first comic page to her debut in the Spider-Verse movies. Unfortunately, she came to Fortnite as a Battle Pass outfit, meaning to the players that didn't unlock her during Chapter 3, Season 4 by reaching Page 10, she is locked out forever. It's a shame, as Spider-Gwen is another character who looks like she was taken straight from the movies, with her unique visual style, dimensions, and attire.
Spider-Gwen in Fortnite also came with 5 styles, allowing players to choose how they wanted to express themselves in the game as their favorite wall-crawler. Here are the following styles and how one could unlock them way back in Chapter 3, Season 4:
Just like the Miles Morales outfit, Spider-Man 2099 was included in the crossover event with Across the Spider-Verse, which also brought along the Mythic Spider-Verse Web-Shooters. Spider-Man 2099 is featured in his Across the Spider-Verse attire, which stays close to home with the character's classic look.
Whilst Spider-Man 2099 doesn't feature an unmasked version, much to the disappointment of many, he does still come with his pretty cool tattered neon cape that he briefly wears in the movie itself. His build is also large, like the movie, showing how well Fortnite does their collab skins justice.
The Prowler was an interesting addition to Fortnite, for he was a relatively small Spider-Man villain, riding off of the success of his appearance in Into the Spider-Verse and his connection to Miles Morales' Spider-Man. Prowler entered Fortnite before his nephew, and his outfit was a mix of a Fortnite original design for the Marvel villain, and the Spider-Verse film design as a whole.
It's strange to lock this character behind a Battle Pass, but Fortnite did just that, and to acquire the Prowler, players needed to have purchased the Chapter 3, Season 2 Battle Pass, and then completed the plethora of Prowler Quests, all of which, are now unavailable.
Spider-Man swings into this competitive multiplayer game thanks to Chapter 3, Season 1, debuting on a brand-new Chapter, on a brand-new island! Spider-Man brought Web-Swinging to Fortnite, along with his classic and most famous suit, with a touch of Epic Games' own talent for flair. Spider-Man is an icon, but sadly, he is stuck in the game, reduced to an exclusive Battle Pass skin, so for players asking how to unlock Spider-Man in Fortnite, it's sad to say that if they weren't there for Chapter 3, Season 1, they are out of luck.
It's a shame too, as Spider-Man comes in his most classic comic appearance, and even brings along some pretty cool styles if players manage to unlock them. Here are all the Spider-Man styles in Fortnite:
Strangely enough, the Spider-Man (No Way Home) outfit is not only the second Spider-Man skin but also the second Tom Holland skin, marking a fairly rare feat for the actor to be two Fortnite skins, since he also appeared as Nathan Drake from Uncharted in Fortnite. Fans of the MCU Spider-Man, and in particular, No Way Home, could bring in Spider-Man's red and black outfit seen in Far From Home and early into No Way Home before an outfit change.
Sadly, this skin doesn't come with the newest red and blue variation seen at the end of the movie, but it does come with three styles: Unmasked (With Tom Holland's face), Masked (The classic Spidey appearance), and Black & Gold Suit (The suit inside out, as seen in the No Way Home movie). To those who haven't got this Spider-Man variant, they might be waiting a while, as it was last seen in the shop on December 11, 2022.
Fortnite and Marvel have a rather good relationship, so much so, that the companies joined up for a Fortnite x Marvel comic series with Zero War, and the first issue brought about a new design for Spider-Man. This design could be obtained in-game through the use of a code when purchasing the first issue of Fortnite x Marvel: Zero War, or, later in the Fortnite Item Shop for 1,500 V-Bucks.
The outfit itself is fairly unique, and it's almost like a cross between Spider-Man and Power Ranger. It seems that this Spidey is ready for war, and it's a great design choice for a Spidey who has to face the Zero Point, as well as 99 other players armed with guns and a system to keep on spawning after each elimination.
A Symbiote with a complex relationship to its hosts, Venom arrives in the Fortnite island, surprisingly before Spider-Man himself thanks to a 2020 debut. Venom comes complete with his comic glory, with the large chest emblem, tongue, and moving eyes, as well as an Extreme style option. Venom is also unique in his size, doing away with the usual smaller Fortnite bodies, but still using their hitboxes to make the game fair.
Originally, Venom debuted as a skin for those who ranked high enough in the Venom Cup on November 18, 2020, but he has since become a staple of the Marvel Item Shop. Venom has a complicated relationship as a part-time villain, and a full-time anti-hero as the Lethal Protector, so the Fortnite island might be perfect for him.
The Eddie Brock skin is one of the most awesome collabs in Fortnite, as it's essentially two outfits in one. For fans of Tom Hardy and his depiction of Venom, the Eddie Brock outfit provides a great opportunity, especially since players can emote as Eddie and immediately switch to Venom, providing the game with a unique character model.
Despite being updated as recently as December 2023, the Eddie Brock outfit has still not made a reappearance and was last seen on December 29, 2021. There's still hope, and the incoming Venom 3 may change that.
A Symbiote with deep roots in the Spider-Man mythos, Carnage was born from Venom, and he arrives to the Fortnite island to spur up trouble, as is his namesake. Carnage's appearance is less a collab for his comic style, and more so for his appearance in Venom: Let There Be Carnage. The skin is pretty cool, and has some gross meat sounds when he walks, providing him with a unique sound design for his movement, albeit, a distracting one to listen to.
Sadly, Carnage is no longer available, as he was exclusive to those who reached the final page in the Chapter 2, Season 8 Battle Pass. If players reached Page 1 of the Bonus Rewards for that season, they'd also get the Maximum style, which provides extra tendrils for the reactive back bling that he comes with.
Whilst Mary Jane and Peter Parker have had an odd relationship in recent years, going so far as to say that they barely have a relationship at all, it's still nice to see Fortnite honor arguably the most important character in Spider-Man's life with Mary Jane Watson receiving her own outfit, complete with her red hair, charismatic flair, and a Spider-Man t-shirt.
Mary Jane Watson is a beloved character, and her relationship with Spider-Man is extremely important, marking one of the best romances in Marvel Comics. Even if recent times have been unkind to them both, it's nice to see that Fortnite has them together.
To promote Spider-Man: No Way Home, Marvel Studios and Sony brought the MCU's Spider-Man and MJ to Fortnite, complete with face models from Tom Holland and Zendaya. Zendaya is yet another actor to receive more than one Fortnite skin, thanks to her part as Chani in Dune, and what's even more, Tom Holland himself has that same honor.
The MJ skin is rather casual and fits well for duos who want to jump in as MJ and Spider-Man, or for those who enjoy Tom Holland and Zendaya. The outfit itself is Zendaya in a jacket with a few pins, but other than that, there isn't too much flair, she's a rare skin, as she hasn't been seen since December 11, 2022.
