TryMinecraft free! Play the unblocked browser versions, official free trials, or redeem a free Minecraft account. Minecraft online with multiplayer is available, with the exception of the official trials which only allow singleplayer.
The browser versions are simplest to try since you can just play right away without installing anything. Trials require you to download and install the game on your device. In order to redeem a Minecraft account, you'll need to complete offers and surveys.
Play Minecraft unblocked from your browser, including Eaglercraft, Minecraft 1.5.2, or ClassiCube. These games often are restricted at schools but you can always download the offline version to unblock it.
There are various free trials available across many platforms for you to try. Minecraft comes in two flavors - Java edition for PC and Bedrock Edition for several platforms. Make sure you sign up for a Microsoft account in order to log in. Please note that the length of the trial depends on the platform.
Visit
minecraft.net, click on Minecraft, and then scroll down to find the free Java Edition trial. Select your PC type, whether it's Windows, Mac, or Linux, and hit the "Download Now" button. Once downloaded and installed, simply login and select "Play Demo World" to get started with the trial.
These versions will allow you to play Survival Mode with a time limit. You can use this time frame to learn the game's mechanics, especially how to craft essential items and survive the night against monsters.
Visit
minecraft.net, click on Minecraft, and then Choose the device you want to install the Bedrock Edition trial on. Unfortunately, there is currently no trial for iOS devices. A lot of users prefer this version because it has a cleaner interface and works on several mobile devices. This is great for trying out the game on the go, but also has a time limit.
To access the free trial on Xbox, you'll need to already have Xbox Game Pass. If you don't already have Game Pass, a cheap way to get it is to register for it with a credit card and choose the first month option for $1. While the Game Pass itself costs money, the Minecraft trial is free. Just search for Minecraft on the app, and you'll notice several options to play it. Minecraft Dungeons is also free on Game Pass.
You could register an account on a site such as
freecash.com, or any site offering similar services, to use coins or points you earn from completing surveys and offers to trade in for a Minecraft account, or real money. The downside is it can be time consuming, and some of the surveys and offers won't go through, or take multiple attempts to work. It's a great way to get the the full version of Minecraft though, if you have the patience.
We ("MinecraftForFreeX.com") are not affiliated with Minecraft.net, Mojang, or Microsoft. We provide links to free Minecraft alternatives, including a method on how to earn coins to redeem a Minecraft account. We do not host any games. If you enjoy Minecraft, you should buy the game.
This user is repeatedly editing the server.properties page in order to advertise a server. Even after warnings and reverting the page, this user continues to vandalize.CaMoreno3 07:09, 3 March 2012 (UTC)
If one places a fence beneath land and then make it farmland and place wheat on top, that person can walk over the wheat without the seeds popping up. Confirmed in SMP only. I don't know where the bugs page is so I just posted it here. NINJAS KICK BUTT 16:37, 27 February 2012 (UTC)
I can confirm. When on the Modifications page (haven't checked, it happens to be on at least one page) it obscures tables from displaying the right side (depending on floating right sidebar height and how far down the table starts)--like2omg 19:00, 4 March 2012 (UTC)
Claimed on Harmful Mods that my mod can, under certain occasions, destroy your Minecraft install. It does not, and the error preventing it from starting up with a specific mod pack is scheduled to be removed on the next version.
Another vandal account. I reverted one of his edits myself but gave up when I encountered a page that wouldn't let me auto-undo because he had made two edits. Steve the Pocket 22:35, 16 January 2012 (UTC)
I wanted to delete some poorly written traps in Tutorials/Traps added last days. But got this warning. Off course it is good that you can't delete much from an article. But someone added a lot of bad traps. For example i think that this isn't a good trap idea:
"Okay. Make a roller coaster. At the end, a iron door closes, and lots of falling gravel falls BEHIND you. Then there is a sign that says: Chose your path wisely. Okay, so they walk down a path for a bit. Then they drop down. At the end of the fall, there are 3 pathes. All have trapdoors, which lead to lava at the bottom. "
The "Safe Mods" section in Mods is mostly redundant with "Harmful Mods and Mod Safety". I just edited "Harmful Mods..." to that effect, but couldn't delete "Safe Mods" due to automatic vandalism protection. The only remaining unique content is the claim that outdated mods could "develop into a virus", which is clearly ridiculous. Hence, please remove. 80.237.156.64 03:34, 2 December 2011 (UTC)
The page South/West rule needs to be renamed to reflect the compass changes in game. The rule is now referred to as the South-East Rule. Also, there seems to be a disagreement on the format of the rules name. While the page uses a /(slash) the actual pages seem to use a -(dash) between the names. I represent the - (dash) here in the name as it seemed to be the most common usage. --Mystara 19:52, 1 December 2011 (UTC)
is there any possibility that someone could change my name? because it was supposed to be TheVelho22 but its TheVeho22 which annoys me a lot so it would be very nice if somebody can(or knows how to)change my name...Thank you!
I was trying to add a references section to the ladders page, and did that successfully; however, I then realized that I needed to add a tag to the section for it to actually display the references. however, the site told me to complete a math problem before I submited my work; I did so, and then went to hit "save". however, It also said that I needed to preview the page first(which I had already done.) however, after I had previewed the page and hit save, it wanted me to do another math problem... and the loop began. Help please?
Has done nothing but post links to his(?) own Youtube videos, which have been consistently removed as spam. Since being unblocked for violating the video policy, he's repeatedly tried to remove an existing link to a video in order to promote one of his own on the same topic. His commentary on it includes a link to another of his, encouraging people to download a cracked copy of Minecraft and providing a URL to do so, a rather blatant violation of the Minecraft TOS. This might warrant further administrative action, not my place to decide. -- Orthotope 19:43, 6 February 2012 (UTC)
The Mojang Tweets feed on the right sidebar appears to still be showing Mojang tweets from a day or two after Minecon, most notably, "We found it hard working with Yogscast, but we regret that this was aired publicly. We will now sort this out with them directly."
I think the best solution is to remove the Mojang Tweets section, morph the Recent Community Articles into the left sidebar, and move the box advertisment to the bottom of the page (where there are already two other box ads). Then we wouldn't have the Twitter glitch, AND the entire wiki wouldn't feel so cramped any more. -User:Oxguy3 User talk:Oxguy3Special:Contributions/Oxguy3 20:13, 12 February 2012 (UTC)
