All models of the Carrera Heuer 01 collection are modular. This one has a ceramic case with alternate finishing, polished ceramic lugs with fine brushed black titanium carbide coated end-piece, polished black ceramic middle case and black titanium carbide coated steel chronograph push-buttons and crown. The core of the watch is from steel.

TAG Heuer's Carrera Heuer-01 Full Black Matte Ceramic is the latest iteration of the Carrera 01 family, first introduced in March of 2015. These are Carrera watches intended to showcase the in-house TAG caliber 01, which is a 13 ligne (29.3mm) selfwinding chronograph movement with a 50-hour power reserve, running in 39 jewels at 28,800 vph. The idea behind these large (45mm) watches is to give the in-house movement a distinctive and instantly recognizable case.

By contrast, the Full Black Matte Ceramic version of the Carrera Heuer-01 uses ceramic exclusively throughout (except, of course, in the movement). The watch will be available with either a rubber strap, or with a ceramic bracelet. As with other versions of the watch, the case is a very large 45mm in diameter; construction is modular in the sense that each part is made as a separate component (e.g., the lugs) but the lugs, case middle, and bezel are all ceramic; the push pieces for the chronograph as well as the crown, are black titanium carbide. Sapphire crystals with AR coating are used front and back, and the skeletonized dial from the original Heuer-01 is there as well; water resistance is 100m.

Between the all-black theme, and the size, this is despite its obvious desire to be startlingly noticeable, an almost backwards-looking watch; the all-black watch theme and large size are very much design cues from the mid-2000s (for a few years there you felt like you couldn't swing a stick at Baselworld without hitting an all-black watch).

What isn't reminiscent of the mid-2000s is the price: $6,300 for the bracelet model, and the same for the rubber strap model, in keeping with the strategy, under Biver, of maintaining pricing at a level appropriate to TAG Heuer's brand history and identity.

The Swiss watch brand TAG Heuer has updated its bestselling timepiece Carrera Heuer-01 with full black matt ceramic finish. The latest iteration of TAG Heuer Carrera Heuer-01, which was launched at Baselworld 2015, will be officially presented later this month in Geneva during the SIHH watch fair.

As the name suggests, the TAG Heuer Carrera Heuer-01 Full Black Matt Ceramic watch features an all-ceramic case and bracelet, a first for the brand. The 45mm timepiece boasts the modular, 12-part case structure characteristic of the Heuer-01 series, with a case middle, bezel, and lugs made of micro-blasted black ceramic. Water-resistant to 100 meters, the case of the watch alongside with its functional parts (the inner box section, screw-down caseback, and chronograph push-pieces) are made of steel.

The black ceramic bracelet features a folding buckle in black titanium carbide-coated steel with a double push-piece safety mechanism. The Tag Heuer Carrera Heuer-01 Full Black Matt Ceramic costs somewhere around $7,000. A version that comes with a rubber strap rather than the full-ceramic bracelet is also available and priced at about $6,300.

Decked out in a stealthy matte black, the TAG Heuer Carrera Heuer-01 Black Ceramic Watch is the sleekest version of the company's signature chronograph yet. The 45mm case, bezel, lugs, and case middle are all made from micro-blasted black ceramic, making the watch durable, scratch-resistant, and highly stylish. It's powered by the in-house Calibre HEUER-01 movement, has a skeleton dial with luminescent black markers and hands, and is water resistant down to 100 meters. Available with a rubber strap or a matching H-shaped black ceramic link bracelet.

An ode to Nike's original innovator, Bill Bowerman, who developed sneakers while Phil Knight ran the business, the new Nike Pegasus 41 Blueprint features nods to the former's efforts to always push the boundaries of what was possible, especially at the time. "Bowerman Prototype" reads on the tongue tag and the insole, while the speckled Swoosh logo represents the unfinished nature of the design. These sneakers do manage to look back and ahead at the same time, though, by spotlighting the signature waffle outsole developed by Bowerman and pledging commitment to Nike's Move to Zero campaign, which ensures all new products use some ratio of recycled materials from post-consumer and/or post-manufactured waste.

Women were not forgotten this year. For the first time ever, the collection also comprises a watch for women, which is entirely in ceramic. Available in black or white, the piece is driven by a quartz caliber and every one of them is a little marvel that combines sport and style perfectly. Solid with a 35-mm case, they are dynamic, almost imperishable and very casual, except for the version with the diamond-set turning bezel that will obviously attract attention wherever it goes. To be discovered, it is most definitely worth it!

TAG Heuer and Porsche have teamed up again to present the TAG Heuer Carrera Porsche Chronograph. The timepiece has its roots in the Carrera Sport Chronograph, known for the tachymeter scale engraved on the bezel. The watch is rich with Porsche iconography, from the colorway of red, black and gray to the speedometer-like dial and sub-dials.

The sapphire crystal is domed and coated with double anti-reflective treatment to continue the theme of clear and clean design. Chronograph pushers in steel and gray flank the steel crown, which sports an eye-catching line of red.

The case is 44 mm polished steel that is finely brushed, and the screw-down design delivers 100 meters of water resistance. The Calibre Heuer 02 Automatic movement with its 80-hour power reserve is visible behind the case back crystal, like a peek under the hood. There is a choice of a black calf leather strap with hand stitching that recalls the Porsche seat design, or a sleek H-shaped bracelet in steel.

Record attendance figures were reported at the annual 2023 Watches and Wonders event in Geneva, an iconic trade show that celebrates creativity, design, engineering and craftsmanship in the world of watchmaking.

The event boasted an extensive program, with the LAB experience giving visitors a rare glimpse into the future of watchmaking and the Touch and Feel sessions attracting visitors keen to get their hands on the latest new releases.

The new models include the water-resistant Square Bang Unico Sapphire, limited to just 250 timepieces, and two ceramic editions that have been micro-blasted and polished. The ceramic models come in black and white and feature a rubber strap alongside a titanium deployant buckle.
