iam working on an office 365 project. and i have created a new team site collection. but when i tried to activate the "SharePoint Server Publishing Infrastructure" site collection feature , i got the following error, after waiting for a couple of minutes:-

also inside my site collection, i have noted that new libraries have been created, where these libraries are created as part of activating the publishing site collection feature. but now i am not sure what does the above error indicate? should i remove the site collection, and create a new one? as i do not want to start working on my new site collection while it have hidden errors or problems, since i got the above error while trying to activate the publishing feature?

It's hard to tell if any Feature Activation steps were missed / incomplete due to the error you got. Since SharePoint tells you the Feature is "Active" now everything should be OK. The error might have happened while reloading the Features page after pressing pressing the "Activate" button while everything else went just fine.

Is this a modern Communications Site? If so, SharePoint Server Publishing cannot be activated, which also means cannot create Enterprise Search subsite which requires this functionality. Cannot find a hack or workaround. Check back in 2030, might be resolved by then...

AWS Outposts servers provide fully managed AWS infrastructure, native AWS services, APIs, and tools to virtually any on-premises or edge location. It enables you to run applications that have low latency and local data processing needs on premises, while removing the undifferentiated heavy lifting required to procure, manage, and upgrade on-premises infrastructure.

AWS Outposts servers have two form factors: The 1U server comes with Amazon EC2 C6gd compute optimized instances that are powered by Arm-based AWS Graviton2 processors, and the 2U server comes with Amazon EC2 C6id compute optimized instances that are powered by 3rd generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors for a wide variety of workloads.

You can seamlessly extend your existing Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) to your Outposts server in your on-premises location. After installation, you can create a subnet in your regional VPC and associate it with an Outpost just as you associate subnets with an Availability Zone in an AWS Region. Instances in Outpost subnets communicate with other instances in the AWS Region using private IP addresses, all within the same VPC.

Amazon EC2 C6gd compute optimized instances are ideal for running advanced compute-intensive workloads. This includes workloads such as batch processing, ad serving, video encoding, gaming, scientific modelling, distributed analytics, and CPU-based machine learning inference.

Amazon EC2 C6id compute optimized instances are powered by 3rd generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors. C6i instances feature a 2:1 ratio of memory to vCPU and support up to 128 vCPUs per instance. These instances are an ideal fit for compute-intensive workloads such as batch processing, distributed analytics, ad serving, highly scalable multiplayer gaming, and video encoding.

Outposts servers have up to 4x 1.9 TB raw NVMe SSD instance storage, supporting local storage used for data access and processing on premises, and for launching EBS-backed AMIs. When launching new instances on an Outposts server, storage is allocated as boot volumes, reducing the remaining storage available for data volumes.

You can use AWS instance storage to associate disk volumes to instances. For containers, you can use persistent volume interfaces to use instance storage. You can implement software-based storage durability design for data volumes across disks or across 2 or more servers, or connect to an external local storage system over the local network interface.

I would like to enable this for server-based feature layers with the extract capability enabled. However, when I look at the item info page for the Feature Layer there is no Extract Data button available, and no options on the Settings tab to enable it. Which means users wanting to export the data will either need Pro, or to use the Extract Data from the analysis pane of the Map Viewer, which seems like too many steps when you just want to export the data.

I have not tried this but here is a suggestion. Create a URL for the REST API that will extract all of the records and then embed that URL in the Item Info page of the feature service. This may give you some of the functionality you need. Here is a sample URL for a wilde fire feature service I found on AGOL (contains 115 records):

Is there an update (or preferably an ETA) on ENH-000115710. We're currently building an open data portal using ArcGIS Enterprise Sites, but all our open data services are server-based feature services. Without this capability sites doesn't allow any download capabilities.

Specifically: "Client Tools Connectivity". The description is not incredibly helpful: "Includes components for communication between clients and servers." - what kind of components and what kind of communication? Is this needed or useful at all if I'm only using the instance locally? I'm not finding any help in the documentation or web searches.

The appropriate features to install depend on your needs. There is no good or bad starting list. Assuming that you need to install the relational database engine, try starting with SQL Server Database Engine.

Installation requirements vary based on your application needs. The different editions of SQL Server accommodate the unique performance, runtime, and price requirements of organizations and individuals. The SQL Server components that you install also depend on your specific requirements. The following sections help you understand how to make the best choice among the editions and components available in SQL Server.

1 Unlimited virtualization is available on Enterprise edition for customers with Software Assurance. Deployments must comply with the licensing guide. For more information, see SQL Server Licensing Resources and Documents.

You can install just the SQL Server client components on a computer that is running client/server applications that connect directly to an instance of SQL Server. A client components installation is also a good option if you administer an instance of SQL Server on a database server, or if you plan to develop SQL Server applications.

The client tools option installs the following SQL Server features: backward compatibility components, SQL Server Data Tools, connectivity components, management tools, software development kit, and SQL Server Books Online components. For more information, see Install SQL Server.

On an internet server, such as a server that is running Internet Information Services (IIS), you will typically install the SQL Server client tools. Client tools include the client connectivity components used by an application connecting to an instance of SQL Server.

Although you can install an instance of SQL Server on a computer that is running IIS, this is typically done only for small Web sites that have a single server computer. Most Web sites have their middle-tier IIS systems on one server or a cluster of servers, and their databases on a separate server or federation of servers.

1 Enterprise edition with Server + Client Access License (CAL) based licensing (not available for new agreements) is limited to a maximum of 20 cores per SQL Server instance. There are no limits under the Core-based Server Licensing model. For more information, see Compute capacity limits by edition of SQL Server.

6 Standard edition supports basic availability groups. A basic availability group supports two replicas, with one database. For more information about basic availability groups, see Basic Availability Groups.

1 In-Memory OLTP data size and Columnstore segment cache are limited to the amount of memory specified by edition in the Scale Limits section. The degree of parallelism (DOP) for batch mode operations is limited to 2 for SQL Server Standard edition and 1 for SQL Server Web and Express editions. This refers to columnstore indexes created over disk-based tables and memory-optimized tables.

For information about the Business Intelligence Client features supported by the editions of SQL Server, see Analysis Services features supported by SQL Server edition or SQL Server Reporting Services features supported by editions.
