Trippie Redd is getting ready to hit the road later this Summer for his “Trip At Knight” Tour, but before he does, it appears a supporting album is on the way. After revealing the artwork last week, Trippie has now informed fans that the album will be dropping by the end of next month. In fact, Trippie says the album will be here before the tour.

The Ohio artist decided to respond to a fan in his comments asking when the album was dropping, to which he said before his upcoming tour. “TAK Tour for the album TAK! It drops before tour !” Trippie wrote responding to a fan complaining about not dropping an album. See post in 2nd slide (below).

Now based on that time table, the album will presumably be arriving before August 25th, the opening night of the tour. Trippie has teased fans in the past that he’d drop the tracklist once the album hit 100K presaves, which it obviously hasn't done yet. Peep the album’s artwork (below) and listen to his new song “Miss The Rage” with Playboi Carti to hold you over while you wait.

The Mooch-directed video opens with an explosion lighting up the night sky over a city, which signals something strange is about to happen. A newscaster confirms it when he says, “Trippie Redd is taking over the city.” The visual features Trippie Redd and Lil Uzi Vert enjoying the spoils of success, taking limo rides, throwing money around as well as burning it, and messing around in a colorful arcade. During the clip, some otherworldly events take place, including a toy car turning into a real one.

Though the duo playfully celebrate their riches in the visual and lyrically, they also acknowledge that cash isn’t everything. “Got two accounts, still got millions in my backup,” Trippie Redd raps. “All this cash on me, but this money still won’t buy love.”

“Holy Smokes” follows the previously released LP single “Miss the Rage” featuring Playboi Carti, which debuted at Number Five on Rolling Stone’s Top 100 Songs chart in May.

Trippie Redd has been teasing Trip At Knight, the sequel to his 2018 album LIFE’S A TRIP, since mid-2020. There is no clear release date or tracklist for Trip At Knight as of now, however Trippie has been dropping several clues in the form of previewing tracks, Instagram comments, releasing singles, revealing cover art and announcing tours.

In May, Trippie dropped eerie, hard-hitting banger featuring Playboi Carti, “Miss the Rage.” The song peaked at No. 11 on the Billboard Hot 100 and is presumably the first single for Trip At Knight.
