Bike ride of champs (and birthday brunch)- Saturday Jan 7th

Dearest Champs,

I'd love to celebrate my birthday with you when you are (hopefully) back in town with a bike ride and cozy meal. I'm really excited about this-- I've always wanted to bike the "outer edge" route around SF and eat at Outerlands. It'll be a chill/social pace and friends are totally welcome. I have extra bikes + tandem, if you need to borrow.

We'll depart from the Ferry Building on Saturday (Jan 7th) at 11 am, so arrive earlier if you want to get coffee/etc there.  We'll do a counter-clockwise loop around the city (approx. 35-40 miles), mostly on bike paths and hugging the water the whole time. Literally.

We'll stop for an awesome br/lunch at Outerlands (http://outerlandssf.com/) -- they're supposed to have the best grilled cheese in SF, just say'n : )  If there are more than 8 of us, then we'll do a big picnic on the beach instead b/c the restaurant is small.

  How've you been?

  I'd love to come out for your birthday, but I'll be out of town.  I'll be back around the end of January, so maybe a ride after that?
