Down East Starts Next Tuesday, January 10

to Down East Singers
Spring Semester begins next Tuesday, January 10, with registration starting at 6:15 PM at Nativity Lutheran Church. Returning singers are asked to go directly to the parish hall to handle registration and welcome new members. There will be an informal social time during registration while voice-placement checks are going on in the sanctuary. Please do not enter the sanctuary until this process is over!
Repertoire this semester will be Joseph Haydn's greatest work: The Creation in an English translation that was updated and improved by Robert Shaw and Alice Parker. Scores are on loan from Bowdoin Music Department. If you wish to purchase your own score we may order additional scores if we run out and you'd be able to buy one of those. Please let me know if you wish to purchase a score at our first rehearsal.
The sectional rehearsals will begin in two weeks, at 6:30 on Tuesday, January 17th with sopranos and altos going first and tenors and basses starting January 24.
