Teatime Concert: William Cunliffe, piano
Friday, November 3 at 4:30 pm
Kanbar Auditorium, Studzinski Recital Hall Pianist Bill Cunliffe will put together a lively program of music from the movies. He has created brand new arrangements of immortal classics such as “Days of Wine and Roses,” “Invitation,” “Whistle While You Work,” “Stella by Starlight,” “Black Orpheus,” and the theme from “Body Heat.” Cunliffe will also do his celebrated “Extravaganza”, where the audience suggests three tunes, one jazz, one classical and one rock, and
he spontaneously creates a brand new piece based on them. Usually a standing ovation follows! This concert is in celebration of the Bowdoin career of Anthony Antolini '63; a reception will follow in Main Lounge.
