I personally am far too insecure too record myself and release the
video on YouTube. If you'd like to hear some unbelievably virtuosic
bass playing, though, do a search for:

Czardas by Monti - Maxin Vengerov

That's right, the violinist Maxim Vengerov but with the first name
misspelled. Bassist Roman Patkolo appears alongside Vengerov as
soloist, and quite honestly outplays the violinist by most measures. He
also plays German bow, incidentally; as do two the "normal" bass
players accompanying (their names aren't listed).
