Good afternoon,
Just to say hello, I've been implementing the ultimateALPR-SDK in Jetson for quite some time now. Here, https://groups.google.com/g/doubango-ai/c/UQKhpLNN-lo/m/Dk_NHcneDwAJ mentions that the roadmap includes the implementation of Jetpack 6.x. In relation to that, when will this be implemented? What specific version would it be? Ideally, 6.2. When do you plan to add support for Jetpack 7.x and the new Jetson Thor? Maybe I'm just being annoying, and you have published the roadmap somewhere?

Thank you very much in advance.

Hello,

What I understand is that jetpack 5.1 supports all Jetson devices except Thor. Thor requires jetpack 7. There is no reason for us to support jetpack 6.x. We’ll skip jetpack 6.x

Hello, you were the ones who provided that information 8 months ago. Honestly, one would assume that by now it would be resolved, and from what I read, now you're declaring another roadmap. Please, we need visibility of the roadmap, and even more so that what you declared is fulfilled; because now you're telling me that you've put aside Jetpack 6.x, but are you really already working on Jetpack 7.x? Many questions remain, and really, we, your clients, can't be moving forward blindly with this. Please help with answers and dates, thank you very much.

It takes 1 hour to add support for a new jetpack version if we got a compatible device. We were not working on adding jetpack 6, we just had on our roadmap. NVIDIA keeps deprecating jetpack versions for new jetson devices and we knew it'll come the day we'll need v6 to be added. We waited too much time. 4.4.1, 5.1.0 and 7.x will cover the entire jetson ecosystem, no need for us to support 6.x. Almost every week we get an email for someone asking for a specific jetson versions (4.x, 4.y, 4.z...). We will not fulfill those requests and will change our roadmap as often as possible with a sole goal: support all jetson using the minimum jetpack versions

Okay, that seems reasonable to me. I've been working with 4.4.1 and 5.1.0 for a while now, and I usually have to downgrade Jetpack to fit those versions, but no problem... I gave you a specific version (6.2) because you stated that 6.x was on the roadmap, and because version 6.2 is what they call "super Jetson" because it improves capabilities, specifically for the Jetson Orin Nano, which could be seen as a basis for addressing that version. Still, if you tell me it takes an hour to add support to a new version of Jetpack, and understanding that you already have devices to do so and the community is making noise, maybe releasing updates a little more frequently wouldn't hurt, because 5.1.0 has been around for quite some time.

But without a doubt, version 7.x is the one we're most interested in, and as you say, it's now mandatory for Jetson Thor compatibility. And speaking of this device (we already have a purchase order), how long do you estimate it will take to acquire one and achieve compatibility with Jetpack 7.x?

Thank you very much.
