Good morning everyone,
I hope you’re all doing well! I wanted to share some news with you — I’ll be moving to Baltimore and leaving Dou at the end of this month. This community has meant so much to me, and I’m truly grateful for how supportive, kind, and dependable you’ve all been. I’ll make sure everything transitions as smoothly as possible before I go.
In the meantime, I have a few important reminders to help keep our flow steady during this transition:
1. If you cannot find coverage for your shift, please inform the teachers at least 24 hours before class.
We’ve had a lot of last-minute sub requests lately, and it makes finding coverage extremely difficult. It’s always better to notify the teachers directly — even if you haven’t found a sub yet — rather than messaging 30 minutes before class or forgetting to update them.
2. Please make sure you’re using the Google Drive sheets for logging swaps, coverage needs, and confirmations.
This is the main place that Shieri will track everything, and it helps us stay organized and aware of which shifts still need support.
3. Before texting the teachers about needing coverage, double-check the schedule on Momence.
Sometimes a sub teacher is already listed, and confirming the schedule first helps avoid confusion.
