Hi all,

Our next meeting of the Sheffield .NET User Group will be on Thurs Feb 6th 18:30 - 20:30 at the Tribal offices. Tribal is located at Bramall Lane roundabout, 10 minutes walk from Sheffield train station:

This meeting will be an introductory session on Machine Learning, led by Grant Crofton (@relentlessdev). He'll be giving an introduction to machine learning and neural networks, before introducing the K-Nearest Neighbours problem and then presenting us with a Machine Learning coding challenge to work on. We'll spend half the session working on the coding problem, with the chance to compare results at the end. As this is partly a coding session, try to bring along a laptop with Visual Studio or Mono and F# installed.

If you'd like to attend this meeting then registration is free, but you'll need to register before the meeting:

Yeah, thanks Daley, looking forward to it!

To be clear, you don't *need* to use F#, C# is also fine if you haven't yet caught the functional bug.

So if you'd like to find out a bit about Machine Learning with Terminator-based examples, and try implementing your very own hand-written digit classifier, I'll see you on Thursday!

Grant
