So why waste time and efforts on creation of a local programmers and coders focus group?

That has been my question ever since I started out as a hobbyist coder on C#, ASP dot NET some two years ago.

There was no real guidance, no local knowledgebase, no real interest from fellow coders to put things ontrack as if the knowledge was limited to some elite group. There were no discussions and the attitudes also did not make it any more easier. For every step that one would think was progress, this was easily defeated by negative responses or lack off. I could write a lot here and will do so more in the future.

For people who do not understand the depth of what they do or have a passion for, searching on search engines seems to be the only option. These are not coders or programmers, they are in the industry for quick gains. They are not artists as their skill levels have no measure. The most significant factor that I find lacking in the local tech scene is the amount of boring stuff that goes on.

It is my hope that this list will become an active knowledgebase and an inspiration to all programmers in Kenya, from whatever programming backgrounds.

Rgds.
