Been using this for awhile and recently moved to a new computer. Everything works fine until I try to execute an EXE I have created. I then get a side by side comparison error

Activation context generation failed for "application and path". Dependent Assembly Microsoft.VC80.CRT,processorArchitecture="x86",type="win32",version="8.0.50727.6195" could not be found.

I have verified the version of MS visual C++ is installed and not sure what to do next?

Do you have the 32-bit version of Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable package installed?

I do, but I just noticed I only get that error when I try to execute the EXE from certain location such as the Desktop or a USB stick. If I copy the the folder with the package and EXEs out to a network location we use for softwre it runs fine. Same issues when I run either as admin, location specific errors.

Did you use sxstrace.exe for detailed diagnosis like the error indicates?

This ended up being a VM issue and everything is working fine. Thanks
