There is an island where the population has either blue or brown eyes. No one on the island knows the color of his or her own eyes but they know it must be either blue or brown. The rule on the island states that at midnight on the day that you learn you own eye color, you must climb to the top of the mountain and jump off, killing yourself. As a result of this rule there are no mirrors on the island and no one ever speaks about a person's eye color.
One day, the the all-knowing oracle who is known by all to always know the truth and never lies announces to the island that at least one of the people on the island has blue eyes.
