DBNETLIB connect() sql server cannot be connected or access denied

i was not aware of that MSDE is provided free by .net. now i have
installed MSDE from program files\microsoft .net..\setup\MSDE.


the problem is still coming that DBNETLIB connect() Sql server does not
exist or access denied.

i don't know how the database connectivity is done in VB.net

i have installed .net framework and msde but SQL server is not
installed on the same machine.

tell me more about MSDE. do we need to install SQL server if MSDE is
already installed to create database etc.

yes if you do not know about dos sql commands
