Technical Developer / Analyst

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced PHP 5 Technical Developer/Analyst to support and
maintain legacy PHP applications in a production environment. The role requires
strong technical expertise in PHP 5 development, troubleshooting, and system
enhancements, along with the ability to analyze business requirements and
translate them into technical solutions.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with legacy systems,
performing code maintenance, enhancements, and debugging, and collaborating
with cross-functional teams to ensure application stability and performance.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and enhance legacy applications built on PHP 5.
Analyze existing codebase and implement bug fixes, performance improvements,
and feature enhancements.
Troubleshoot application issues and provide technical root cause analysis.
Work with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and translate functional
requirements into technical solutions.
Review, optimize, and refactor existing PHP code where necessary.
Support database queries, data manipulation, and reporting requirements.
Perform system testing, debugging, and validation of application changes.
Maintain technical documentation related to application architecture and code
updates.
Collaborate with development, QA, and infrastructure teams to ensure smooth
application performance and deployment.
Required Skills & Experience
Strong experience with PHP 5 development and legacy system support.
Experience with MySQL or other relational databases.
Ability to analyze legacy code and implement enhancements.
Experience troubleshooting production application issues.
Knowledge of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience working in remote, distributed development environments.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with legacy application modernization initiatives.
Exposure to MVC frameworks or newer PHP versions.
Experience with version control systems (Git, SVN).
