Role: Oracle Financials Cloud Consultant (Government /
County Projects)
Location: Remote
Duration: 6+ months contract
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Oracle Financials
Cloud Consultant with a strong background in Government or County sector
implementations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in
Oracle ERP Cloud modules such as General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP),
Accounts Receivable (AR), Fixed Assets (FA), Cash Management (CM), and
Procurement, and a deep understanding of public sector accounting, fund
management, and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead or
support the implementation, upgrade, or enhancement of Oracle
Financials Cloud modules for County or Government clients.
- Work
closely with stakeholders to gather business requirements and map them to
Oracle Cloud capabilities.
- Configure
Oracle Financials Cloud modules including GL, AP, AR, FA, CM,
Procurement, and Project Accounting.
- Design
and document functional setups, configurations, and workflows specific to
government financial operations.
- Support
fund accounting, grant management, budgetary control, and other
public sector financial processes.
- Assist
in data migration, testing (SIT/UAT), and go-live support.
- Provide
training and post-implementation support to end-users and finance teams.
- Collaborate
with technical teams for integration, reporting (OTBI, BI Publisher),
and security role setup.
- Ensure
compliance with GASB (Governmental Accounting Standards Board) and
county-level reporting requirements.
- Participate
in system upgrades, patch testing, and continuous process improvement.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s
Degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field.
- 5+
years of
experience with Oracle Financials Cloud (Fusion ERP).
- Proven
experience working on Government / County ERP implementations or
upgrades.
- Strong
understanding of public sector accounting, budgeting, fund management,
and reporting.
- Experience
with Oracle Financials Cloud modules such as:
- General
Ledger (GL)
- Accounts
Payable (AP)
- Accounts
Receivable (AR)
- Fixed
Assets (FA)
- Cash
Management (CM)
- Procurement
/ Purchasing
- Project
Portfolio Management (PPM)
- Experience
with OTBI / BI Publisher reports, FBDI templates, and data
migration tools.
- Excellent
communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Oracle
Cloud Certification (e.g., Oracle Financials Cloud Implementation
Specialist).
- Experience
with County ERP systems (e.g., PeopleSoft, Workday, SAP) prior to
Oracle Cloud migration.
- Familiarity
with State and Local Government (SLG) Chart of Accounts and fund
structures.
- Exposure
to Integrations with Treasury, Tax, or Grants systems.
- PMP or
equivalent project management certification a plus.
