Role:- SAP WM Consultant - ECC
Location:- Austin TX ( 5 days Onsite)
Duration : Long term contract
ECC WM Functional Analyst is responsible for
implementing and supporting SAP ECC Warehouse Management (WM) solutions. This
role bridges business operations and SAP configuration to streamline warehouse
processes, ensure seamless integrations, and support end-to-end functionality.
Key Responsibilities
- Requirements
Gathering: Engage with stakeholders to collect,
analyze, and document warehouse management needs.
- Solution Design
& Configuration: Translate business requirements
into functional specifications, then design and configure WM solutions
within SAP ECC (and optionally S/4HANA).
- Integration
Management: Enable smooth integration with modules
like MM, SD, IM, EWM, and external systems using IDocs, RFCs, or Web
Services.
- Testing &
Validation: Develop test plans and execute unit,
integration, and UAT testing. Troubleshoot and resolve system issues.
- Training &
Support: Provide end-user training, develop
documentation (functional specs, guides, manuals), and ensure ongoing
support post-implementation.
- Performance
Optimization: Monitor WM system performance, propose
enhancements, and troubleshoot problems effectively.
- Project Execution:
Lead workshops, manage small-to-medium-sized projects or changes through
full lifecycle (blueprint → deployment → go-live), possibly guiding junior
team members.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Competencies
- Proficient in SAP ECC
WM, with knowledge of MM, IM, EWM, and integration points (SD,
PP, QM).
- Experience with RF
framework, pick/pack processes, inventory management, and warehouse
operations.
- Familiarity with integration
technologies (IDoc, RFC, XML/Web Services).
- Hands-on testing
experience: unit, integration, UAT.
Business & Soft Skills
- Deep understanding of
warehouse processes: inbound/outbound logistics, picking, putaway, cycle
counts, slotting.
- Strong analytical,
problem-solving, and documentation capabilities.
- Excellent communication
and stakeholder-management skills.
- Familiar with SAP project
methodologies (e.g., ASAP, SAP Activate).
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in IT,
Computer Science, Supply Chain, or related field.
- 3–4 years of
SAP WM (or WM/MM/MM/WM) functional experience with at least 2 full
life-cycle implementations.
- Experience in ECC,
S/4HANA, and optionally EWM environments.
- Desirable: SAP
certifications in WM/MM/EWM and logistics-related best practices.
