5+ years of experience in

in Core HCM, business process framework, calculated fields and report writer

• 2+ years of hands-on experience with developing Workday Extend
applications and Orchestrations
• Deep experience working with APIs including Workday’s REST, SOAP and Graph
APIs as well as various third party APIs.
We’re looking for an experienced Workday Extend Developer to serve as both a hands-on developer and an expert resource within our Workday team. This individual will design and build Workday Extend applications, develop orchestrations, and guide teammates in best practices for technical development and platform optimization. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with functional HR knowledge and the ability to simplify complex concepts for others.
Responsibilities
• Serve as the subject matter expert and mentor on Workday Extend development across the organization.
• Design, develop, deploy and maintain Workday Extend applications including custom pages, tasks and business process ensuring scalability and performance.
• Create and maintain complex Workday Orchestrations and custom endpoints to automate and integrate with Extend applications.
• Partner with HR stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical designs and functional solutions.
• Collaborate with the HR Technology team members to ensure alignment on projects and overlapping functionality.
• Serve as the subject matter expert and mentor on Workday Extend development across the organization providing training, code reviews, and technical guidance to other team members to build internal Workday Extend expertise.
• Stay up to date with Workday updates and Extend platform enhancements, sharing insights and strategies with the team.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Human Resources or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in the Workday ecosystem with a strong understanding of Workday foundations in Core HCM, business process framework, calculated fields and report writer and web services.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with developing Workday Extend applications and Orchestrations
• Deep experience working with APIs including Workday’s REST, SOAP and Graph APIs as well as various third party APIs.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and upskill technical and functional team members.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and presentation skills.
Preferred Skills
• Workday certification in Extend or Integration Developer strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Python.
• Experience with AWS Lambda
• Experience working and building tools with AI including LLMs, Agents, etc.,
