Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Test Lead with strong expertise in Banking and Payments, specifically within Bill Pay functionality, to lead end-to-end functional testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring a combination of deep domain knowledge, hands-on testing experience, and proven leadership capabilities to drive high-quality delivery across large-scale payment programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end functional testing and UAT activities for Bill Pay applications and payment workflows.
• Manage test planning, test design, execution, defect tracking, and reporting across multiple releases.
• Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, product teams, development teams, and QA teams.
• Drive UAT cycles, including test case creation, execution oversight, defect triage, and business sign-off coordination.
• Establish and enforce testing best practices, governance standards, and quality metrics.
• Ensure comprehensive test coverage, requirements traceability, and compliance with project and regulatory requirements.
• Identify risks, dependencies, and potential issues early, and develop mitigation strategies.
• Lead stakeholder communications, including status reporting, escalation management, and issue resolution.
• Mentor and guide QA team members on testing strategies, domain knowledge, and execution approaches.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support release management and production readiness activities.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, test optimization, and automation.

Required Qualifications

• 10–15 years of overall experience in Quality Assurance and Testing.
• Proven experience leading large-scale testing programs within Banking and Payments environments.
• Strong expertise in Functional Testing, End-to-End Testing, Regression Testing, and UAT.
• In-depth understanding of Bill Pay processes, payment workflows, and payment integrations.
• Experience working in Agile environments with cross-functional teams.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience with defect management, test reporting, and quality governance.
• Familiarity with Database technologies and payment platforms.
• Working knowledge of BaNCS Payments and SWIFT messaging.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Core Banking platforms and processes.
• Prior experience working with Tier-1 investment banks such as JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley, or similar organizations.
• Knowledge of payment regulations, compliance requirements, and industry standards.
