My Client is looking for a consultant for Business Analyst position for a Long Term Contract position in Mclean , VA – f2f Interview

Position - Business Analyst
Location – Mclean , VA – f2f Interview
Type – Contract

Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis & Requirements Management

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements.
• Analyze existing application workflows, business processes, and system interactions.
• Review and validate requirements with business users to ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Create detailed functional specifications, process flows, use cases, and user stories.

Product Analysis & Solution Design

• Analyze existing CICS screen flows and IMS database structures to understand current business functionality.
• Map legacy application functionality to modern business requirements and future-state solutions.
• Partner with UX/UI teams to design intuitive and user-friendly interfaces aligned with business needs.
• Evaluate data requirements and identify appropriate information to be displayed across application screens.

Data Analysis

• Analyze PostgreSQL databases and data models to support business requirements.
• Develop SQL queries to investigate, validate, and extract data.
• Define business rules governing data retrieval, transformation, and presentation.
• Perform data validation and support testing activities.

Agile Delivery & Project Coordination

• Create and manage Jira epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, and tasks.
• Provide continuous clarification and support to development teams throughout the SDLC.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including backlog grooming, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Work closely with Product Owners to understand Program Increment (PI) objectives and delivery priorities.
• Coordinate multiple workstreams and track action items to ensure timely completion.

Testing & Quality Assurance

• Develop acceptance criteria and test scenarios for business requirements.
• Review test approaches, test cases, and execution results.
• Validate delivered functionality against business expectations.
• Ensure all acceptance criteria are satisfied prior to release.
