Core responsibilities
Design and implementation: Plan
and implement high-performance storage solutions like SAN, NAS, and cloud
storage to meet business needs.
Maintenance and management: Install,
configure, and maintain storage systems and software, including performing
upgrades, patches, and backups.
Troubleshooting and support: Monitor
systems for performance, identify and resolve issues, and provide
technical support.
Data protection: Develop
and implement data backup, replication, and disaster recovery plans.
Data Merging: Plan and
implement data migration to unified system
Documentation: Create
and maintain accurate documentation of storage configurations, procedures,
and reports.
Collaboration: Work
with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of storage systems with
other technologies.
Optimization: Tune
storage performance and manage resource allocation.
Key skills and qualifications
Education: Bachelor's
degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field, or
equivalent experience.
Technical skills:
Experience with storage technologies such as
SAN, NAS, cloud storage, and direct-attached storage.
Familiarity with virtualization platforms
storage configuration (like VMware).
Knowledge of Storage vendors appliance
systems (NetApp, EMC), Knowledge configuring Backup appliances. Scripting
languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell. Detailed experience
in Netapp OnTap and Snap technologies (advantage)
Proficiency with storage management tools and
software.
