Job Description
We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow SPM Developer with strong expertise in implementing, configuring, and supporting ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) solutions. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in ServiceNow platform development, workflow automation, integrations, reporting, and AI-assisted development practices to improve delivery efficiency and business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
ServiceNow SPM Development
- Configure, customize, and enhance ServiceNow SPM modules, including Demand Management, Project Portfolio Management (PPM), Project Management, Program Management, Agile Development, Resource Management, Financial Planning, Portfolio Management, Strategic Planning, OKRs, and Investment Funding.
- Develop and maintain intake workflows, demand assessment processes, project templates, resource allocation models, financial tracking solutions, and portfolio health dashboards.
- Configure roadmap planning, portfolio hierarchies, funding models, strategic objectives, and resource forecasting.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to troubleshoot issues, implement enhancements, and optimize portfolio management processes.
ServiceNow Platform Development
- Develop and maintain Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Policies, Data Policies, ACLs, Scheduled Jobs, and Flow Designer workflows.
- Build and support Workspaces, UI Builder pages, Service Portal components, and custom applications.
- Implement enterprise workflow automation and integrations using IntegrationHub, REST, SOAP, JSON, and MID Server.
- Follow ServiceNow development best practices to deliver scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions.
- Support platform upgrades, performance improvements, and instance health initiatives.
AI and Innovation
- Leverage ServiceNow AI capabilities, including Now Assist, Generative AI, AI Search, Predictive Intelligence, and Virtual Agent.
- Use AI-assisted development tools for requirements analysis, user story creation, code generation, unit testing, documentation, and troubleshooting.
- Identify opportunities to automate manual project and portfolio management activities using AI-driven workflows.
- Support AI-powered project summarization, risk identification, forecasting, and recommendation solutions.
- Apply Agentic AI concepts and responsible AI practices, ensuring appropriate governance and human oversight.
Reporting and Analytics
- Develop ServiceNow reports, dashboards, KPIs, and Performance Analytics solutions.
- Monitor portfolio health, resource utilization, project performance, financial tracking, and strategic objective progress.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
- 2+ years of experience implementing and supporting ServiceNow SPM solutions.
- Strong experience with Demand Management, PPM, Resource Management, Financial Planning, Portfolio Management, Strategic Planning, and Roadmap Planning.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, Glide APIs, Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Policies, ACLs, and Flow Designer.
- Experience with IntegrationHub, REST/SOAP APIs, JSON, web services, and MID Server.
- Experience with UI Builder, Workspace Development, reporting, dashboards, and Performance Analytics.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments and enterprise workflow automation.
Preferred Qualifications
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD).
- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – Strategic Portfolio Management (CIS-SPM).
- Experience with Now Assist, Generative AI, Predictive Intelligence, AI Search, and Agentic AI concepts.
- Demonstrated ability to use AI tools to improve development productivity, code quality, testing, and documentation.
