Hi Folks,

My client is looking for Middleware / DevOps Architect for a 12-month contract role based in Draper, UT (Remote)

Position: Middleware / DevOps Architect

Location:  Draper, UT (Remote)

Duration: 12 Month Contract

Required Experience:

TypeScript, Node.js, OpenAI, Microsoft Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, MongoDB, MySQL, Redis, MCP, Python, Pandas, Jupyter notebooks

What We’re Looking For

● 10+ years of extensive professional experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code (Terraform), Kubernetes deployments, and cloud networking, with the expectation of personally implementing and debugging these systems rather than delegating them

● Proven track record of owning end-to-end technical delivery of complex middleware platforms in large-scale enterprise environments, including architecture, implementation, rollout, and post-deployment stabilization under real production load

● Deep hands-on expertise across backend engineering and cloud-native infrastructure, including designing, deploying, and operating production systems at scale, handling failure modes, incident response, performance bottlenecks, and live customer-impacting issues

● Demonstrated ability to act as the primary technical owner in ambiguous, high-stakes environments, making architectural and operational decisions independently and being accountable for outcomes in live enterprise systems especially when deploying live to enterprise systems

● A builder’s mindset with bias for action, creativity under pressure, and an obsession with making things work in the real world

● Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field

● Strong plus: Hands-on experience designing and deploying AI/LLM-powered production systems, including prompt orchestration, agent workflows, tool calling, vector databases, latency/cost optimization, and operational monitoring

● High-Stakes Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the capacity to clearly articulate complex architectural decisions, system roadmaps, and production incident status updates to both highly technical teams and non-technical client executives.

Thanks
Sid
