2rd Mid level min experience : 8 Year - Max rate $45-50/hr

Senior Software Engineer - .NET

Hands-on experience with cloud-native architectures and AWS services such as S3, Lambda, EC2, EKS, backend services, and Mongo Atlas

Role Overview

We’re seeking a Senior Backend Software Developer with deep expertise in designing and maintaining scalable .NET applications.

In this role, you’ll lead technical initiatives, mentor team members, and drive architecture decisions to ensure our systems meet the highest standards of performance, reliability, and security.

Not a Must Have - Experience with healthcare data standards such as EDI and HL7, as well as HIPAA compliance, is highly valued.

Responsibilities

· Lead design and architecture discussions for complex backend systems.

Mentor junior and mid-level developers, fostering best practices in coding and testing.
Own critical components of the application lifecycle, from design through deployment.
Evaluate and introduce new technologies to improve scalability, maintainability, and performance.
Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to influence technical direction and ensure alignment with business goals.
Contribute to and improve CI/CD pipelines, build processes, and deployment strategies.
Participate in Agile ceremonies including backlog grooming, sprint planning, and technical design discussions.

Core Skills

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Expert-level proficiency in .NET frameworks and .NET 8 moving to .NET 10, C# 12+, and ASP.NET Core, with 4+ years of hands-on software development experience.
Strong understanding of microservices architecture, distributed systems, and event-driven design.
Ability to design and implement secure APIs and enforce best practices for authentication and authorization.
Experience profiling and optimizing large-scale applications processing millions of transactions daily.
Familiarity with DRY, SOLID, and Clean Architecture principles.

Testing and Tools

· Experience with unit testing frameworks such as xUnit and Moq.

Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman or Insomnia.
Familiarity with MongoDB or other NoSQL database systems.
Familiarity with observability tools such as Dynatrace and Amazon CloudWatch.
Comfortable using Git for version control.

Environments

· Comfortable working in both Windows and Linux environments, including PowerShell and Bash scripting.

Hands-on experience with cloud-native architectures and AWS services such as S3, Lambda, EC2, EKS, backend services, and Mongo Atlas
Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, including Kubernetes.

Nice to Have

· Knowledge of healthcare data exchange standards such as X12 and HL7, with the ability to design robust data pipelines.
