It's been awhile since I've written but I have been itching to tell you what's been going on in the wonderful world of dōTERRA :) So here it goes:

CONVENTION-ON-DEMAND

For those of you who want to view the 2014 Aspire Convention that just recently ended in Salt Lake City, Utah, I can pass you my login details as I will be finishing my viewing this Sunday and there will still be a few more days for you to view some videos yourself. NEW PRODUCTS (Feature on Arborvitae and Cardamom essential oils)

Who is excited about the recent launch of 14 new products?? I know I am and there are two amazing new essential oils: Arborvitae and Cardamom. dōTERRA is the only company in the world that holds an exclusive agreement with the Arborvitae oil producer (from Vancouver, Canada) making us the only company in the world to have this amazing oil available in its purest form. These majestic trees live for a very long time, over 100 years and they contain a natural wood preservative so when you see the barks have fallen to the ground after 100 years there are no signs of them rotting. The oil is extracted in the most sustainable method and there is a lot of heart and soul that goes into the whole distillation process as well as the recycling afterwards. Cardamom oil has been used for years as a spice and is a member of the Ginger family. It is used for respiratory issues and other applications. The harvesting and the preparation of the seeds is a very difficult process. The seeds have to be dried through a wooden fire process and then go through a grading process to select the best pods. Within each pod are 35-50 seeds. Once it flowers, the quality of the oil depends on the maturation of these seeds. You need to wait until it's 110 to 124 days to get the best composition from a chemical standpoint. The unique chemistry of cardamom is all dependent on where it is sourced from and our cardamom comes from Guatemala due to its therapeutic benefits.

Lemon is one of our favourites in my house.  We use it in so many ways from diffusing, cleaning and drinking.  It's a great oil to have around.  It is sometimes referred to as liquid sunshine.  It's great if you put a few drops in your water bottle (glass or stainless steel) and drink it throughout the day.  It helps with detoxification, uplifting and calming.  Our Lemon oil comes from Sicily in Italy where there grows many lemon groves.

Eucalyptus can also be used in the following ways:

• Rub one drop of eucalyptus oil on the outside and back of the ear (never use essential oils inside the ears), to relieve an earache.
  
• Put a few drops of eucalyptus in a diffuser, to assist with bronchitis, flu and hay fever.
  
• Add a drop of eucalyptus to your skin cream, to assist with acne.
  
• Apply a few drops of eucalyptus to the bottom of the feet, or dilute and massage into the back to reduce fever.
  
• Eucalyptus great when added to the shower.
