In dotCMS 5.x when modifying an image, the latest version of the image isn't reflected in your content.

Either email addresses are anonymous for this group or you need the view member email addresses permission to view the original message
to dotCMS User Group
Upload a color image
Create a piece of content and add the image to it
Save and Publish
Edit the Image and make it grayscale
Re-open the content
Notice that by default the content is still referring to the color version of the image and not the grayscale version. This is because by default dotCMS will reference the inode v.s. the identifer.
Add the following to your dotmarketing-config-ext.properties file and perform the steps above a second time with a different image.
