I am working on a series of dotCMS video tutorials that the community would find helpful, please let me know if there are videos that:

  1. Do not exist (or at least are not relevant due to versioning
  2. Cover subjects that appeal to the general dotCMS community

Thanks

I think one thing that could benefit the community is a good tutorial on clean template construction, explaining when and where to mix in HTML or VTL files, what should live in containers and why, that sort of stuff. Permissions is another area that I routinely see issues with. Even I still struggle sometimes to get my permission inheritance functioning the way I want. Maybe look at overlapping functionality and when to use one over the other, for instance, categories vs multiselect fields.

Sounds like a plan Mike.  Also, I find that people stray away from custom fields but we use them a lot here to do some fairly sophisticated tasks, I think it would be a great video as well.

Thanks for your feedback

I could see a whole series of "How to build X in dotCMS"  Where X is any number of things.
