Discussion is good action is better...

All this discussion is great but all the conversations tend to degrade and move off the topic. My "Adult/Offensive Domains" post is a good example. 

I was suggesting quite a technical change but now it has morphed into a discussion on censorship and my original point have been forgotten.

I think we need some sort of referendum system so the community can vote on policy issues. These discussions are great and a lot of valuable points have been made but nothing have been achieved.

This leads into a more detailed organisational/management discussion I think we desperately need.
