Hi all,

It’s time to schedule our next annual meeting/workshop! I’m tentatively planning to run the workshop during the first half of September, but please let me know if this doesn’t work for you. Please take a minute to fill out the scheduling poll (linked below) so we can find a time that works for most.

If you are interested in presenting your work or leading a short discussion please let me know so I can estimate timing and prepare an agenda. Here are some suggested topics to start off but please feel free to suggest something not on the list

– demos or reports of recent projects/performances using the mapping tools
– updates to libmapper, webmapper, utilities, etc.
– existing or desired language bindings
– session management concepts, issues, proposals
– bridges/integration with other software (e.g. game engines)
– handware platforms / embedding mapping tools
– testing, distribution, package managers
– proposals for extensions or new features

Cheers,
Joe

Hi all,
Thank you Joe
I would be interested in discussing/presenting machine learning techniques for mapping if people are interested, as a proposal for extensions maybe ?

Cheers,
Benjamin

Hi Benjamin – that’s great I’ll add this to the agenda!

As always, documentation (as an agenda item) for people less familiar with the underlying programming language(s) would be helpful. For over a year, I've been running Webmapper from source, seamlessly, but still need assistance from developers from time to time. (see other recent post in this Google Group).  Thx

Hi all,

The workshop will be held on Thursday August 10 at 2:30PM UTC (11:30am for me in Halifax). A meeting link will follow closer to the date.

In addition to updates on changes to libmapper and surrounding tools, we will have presentations/discussions on:

– machine learning techniques for mapping (lead by Benjamin Lavastre)
– mapping for haptic displays (lead by Christian Frisson)
– documentation (requested by D. Andrew Stewart)

Please let me know if you are interested in presenting your work or leading a short discussion.

Hope to see you on August 10!

Regards,
Joe

Hello Joe,

I imagine it will be September 10, not August. Anyway, I saved the date on my calendar.

See you soon.

I hope the last workshop went. Sorry I could not attend, due to work. Just wrapped up several events, including performances with karlax DMI. Libmapper/webmapper worked like a dream. !!!!  Keep going..

Hi Andrew,
Is there a way to watch/listen to The Wild Truth?
