Hi all,

It’s time to schedule our annual meeting/workshop! Usually we run the workshop during the first week of September, so let’s aim for approximately the same dates.
If you are interested in presenting or leading a short discussion, please let me know and I will try to come up with a coherent agenda. Also please fill out the linked scheduling poll so we can figure out some possible dates and times.

– demos or reports of recent projects/performances using the mapping tools
– updates to libmapper, webmapper, etc.
– testing, distribution, package managers
– session management
– hardware platforms (e.g. ESP32, RPi, Arduino, Bela)
– bridges/integration with other software (e.g. Ableton Live, Faust, Blender)
– proposals for extensions or new features

I’m also interested in creating a “showreel” of recent projects using the mapping tools, so if you have some video you would like to include please share it with me!

Cheers,
Joe

From the scheduling poll responses I have selected Wednesday 6 September for our workshop, from 2pm–5pm UTC. We will share a videoconference link on this thread before the workshop.

Please feel welcome to attend the workshop either as a presenter or an observer. If you have a proposal for a presentation or a discussion you would like to lead please let me know beforehand so I can prepare a rough schedule – some suggestions for topics are listed below:

– demos or reports of recent projects/performances using the mapping tools
– updates to libmapper, webmapper, etc.
– testing, distribution, package managers
– session management
– hardware platforms (e.g. ESP32, RPi, Arduino, Bela)
– bridges/integration with other software (e.g. Ableton Live, Faust, Blender)
– proposals for extensions or new features

Hope to see you (online) at the workshop!

Cheers,
Joe
