I Services for parents and other relatives
When you feel that…
* your child has changed after your arrival to Finland and you
need help in building up her/his trust in order to talk openly again
* you find yourself in the situation where you and your child
think in a different way and you do not know what to do next
* your community wants you to set more straight boundaries to your
child
Amoral -project offers seminars in several languages where parents can
meet other parents and discuss about parenting and any other matters
relating parenthood.
II Services for youngsters
When you feel that…
* the cultural pressure in your family or in your community is
getting too much
* you have been threatened by name of preserving honor
* you need help and support in order to be able to discuss
depressing subjects with your parents
Amoral project arranges peer group meetings in several different
languages with young people. In these groups young people discuss and
learn how to live between two cultures.
III Services for different authorities, teams and organizations
When you feel that…
* your team is not able to help the family you work with because
of a honor-related violence and someone’s life might be in danger
* your team needs more information about honor-related violence as
phenomenon
Amoral -project can arrange training and consultation to your team.
This service is free of charge in Uusimaa district. The project can
also help you when you are arranging meetings with your client
families. The staff members of the project are highly specialised in
intercultural issues and can help you to see the different aspects of
honor-related violence and how to interfere intra-family matters.
