No bear problems again, still upholding our theory that there are no bears in Yosemite. We climbed out Virgina canyon and over a series of ridges to Benson Pass, an easy pass which was hard to get to. There is more climbing than flat hiking in this country. Undescribeable scenery again, granite ridges, waterfalls, deep carved canyons, I hope the photos represent even a small slice of it.
We passed Smedberg lake, super infested by misquotoes. We had planned to stop there but were driven to hike on. Feet hurting again and darkness approaching we hiked on to the lake's outlet stream and found a place to camp.
