7/31, Nobel Lake to Ebbetts Pass, (Highway 4, Tahoe), Mile 1050

So today we hiked out at Ebbetts pass and hitched to Tahoe. The city
of South lake Tahoe is really busy, lots of people
vacationing/gambling and looking to get away from the big city. It's
funny because we consider ourselves in a big city. The speed at which
the cars move is dizzying. We checked into a cheap but very nice
hotel on the main road, it was recently remodeled and located near a
busstop. Three dollars to ride the bus all day, not a bad way to get
around. We spent the rest of the day lounging around, and washing our
clothes, tomorrow we will check out the city and decide where we go
from here. (most likely home to recover and make our next move)
