We have been relaxing and visiting family for the last few days. Our
feet are still hurting and our legs are still stiff, we need to get
out and hike a bit more to get the endorphins going again. I have
been trying to reset my sleep schedule, the other night we stayed up
until 3am.. we should have tried to sleep earlier. I think after
tonight we will be mostly used to the time change.
After looking through books from Nathalie's relatives and friends we
have decided on a rough plan. First we plan on doing a short trip
into Belgium to check out some older cities and small towns,
afterwards we will rent a car and head south through Germany, to
Austria for a couple of days hiking in the Austrian alps. After that
we will go south to Italy to hike in the Pyrenees mountains and visit
some cities (probably Venice, Verona, Brescia, Desenzano). Then we
will make our way back up to Holland.
For our first trip (Belgium) We just reserved a room in the town of
Sluis, Holland. It's located across the border (about 15 KM) from
Brugge Belgium. Hotels in Sluis are much cheaper so we will stay
there. Tomorrow we will travel to Sluis and explore Brugge.
Also I have uploaded new pictures to the PCT photo gallery, from
Tuolomne onwards..
More updates later..
