We woke up from our cowboy camp, (first time since we entered the
Sierras) there were no mosquitoes, amazing. Sonora pass was about as
expected, a simple road going over a pass, pulloff and sign marking
the historical significance of the pass. We hesitate for a moment as
we cross the road, but then move on, "Lets walk a bit more and perhaps
we will make it to Tahoe" I said, Nathalie nodded so we continued on.
We climbed up to the crest divide again, clear views south into the
Sierras and what we endured and then north into vast northern
California. The rest of the day was uneventful we did our 14 miles
and stopped at Boulder Creek, a quaint and quiet little creek. We
decided to hang our food just because it was easy to do so, you don't
come across many perfect branches to hang your food from and there was
one here.
