Icopy (eg a diagram A) in Libre Office, and then go to another program.

There I copy a diagram B. I check that it will copy to another application.

Return to LibreOffice. Paste now only pastes the diagram A, not B

A workround is to open the doc in OpenOffice, paste into that and return to LO.

This seems to be a presist bug in LO (it was also present in OO)

So strange that it is still not fixed.

To trigger it copy-paste something from a webpage, then copy-paste something within the sheet and then try to copy something from the webpage again, it will keep pasting the last item you copied from within OO.

The only workaround so far for me is to open the windows clipboard (WIN+v) and clear it. This will allow you again to copy from outside OO.

Further comment. This is a major bug for me.

Copy and instant paste eg Ctrl-C / change app /ctrl-V to another app is one of the most powerful computer facilities. Without it, all entry to LibreOffice is hobbled. We need to be able to copy and paste from ANY source immediately, without any intermediate hunting through a folder. We need this sorting.

Fine to have the facility to choose - but many cannot

I am so excited about the new life I'm going to have with my family. The promises made by AWAI are very real and can work for anyone who wants to give themselves a better life. I'm counting the days until I can give notice to my regular job and become a copywriter full-time.

I decided to implement the function using R's method dispatch so that the old code using data.frames will still work with the updated functions. In one of my functions, I take in a data.frame as input, modify it, and then return the modified data.frame. I created a data.table implementation as well. For example:

I know that data.table works by making changes without copying, and I implemented foo.data.table while keeping that in mind. However, I return the data.table object at the end of the function because I want my old scripts to work with the new data.table objects. Will this make a copy of the data.table? How can I check? According to the documentation, one has to be very explicit to create a copy of a data.table, but I am not sure in this case.

I have my dropbox linked to my laptop's desktop so I can easily access it; after the latest macOS update I am getting a pop up message that says a copy will be made when I make any edits. This would have been fine if it was once off, but its making copies every time. Please find attached screenshots. Any advice to resolve this will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I have started a .idw where I have placed my views, but also added extra info by way of making a sketch on the sheet itself (see attached image, sketch is highlighted in green). When I try to Save As the .idw as a .dwg, only my view comes through, and the sketch I made on the sheet is left out. In my searching online, I have seen that you should be able to left-click on the sketch in the browser and "Export As", but this option doesn't seem to be there for me. Is there a way to get this sketch into a .dwg?

That did it for me. For a slightly more in-depth answer, I also had to change the Data Scaling option on the second page of options to Sheet Scale - Model Space for the option on the left side of the tab (model geometry only) to become active.

There are few things I love more in this life than a collaboration between my favorite custom website designer, Sarah Kleist, and my favorite Showit website template shop, TONIC Site Shop. They are a literal match made in Heaven, and any project I get to work on that their golden fingers have touched, I am grateful for.

May 6, 2010 at 05:02 AM Hi everyone, I am new in this. I just bought a violin recently. The labelled is Copy of Stradivarius Made in Czechoslovakia, without any date or further detail. I am just wondering is this really made in Czechoslovakia as it states? The quality of sound is good and better than a lot brand new student violin I would say, the violin has two pieces back, and not sure the type of wood of it as I don't know how to differentiate. I would provide as much information as I can if anyone could tell me what to do, despite of asking me going to a luthier as I wouldn't post it here if I can do so. Besides, the violin comes with a bow, and the bow has an obscure stamp, I am not sure it is a stamp or just some scratches but it seems like LUIUI or LUGUI or LUPOT, I am not sure as it just seems like five alphabets to me from side view. Thank you guys if you willing to spend some time to read this. :D

oo...so it is actually a lupot stamp on the bow? Do you think it is a good bow? As I am thinking should I get it for rehair or just buy a cheaper new bow now. Besides, The current strings I'm having is Astrea, will the better strings make a big difference to it? What brand should I get for the strings? thanks.

May 7, 2010 at 07:00 AM Yes, it seems a decent student violin. Get rid of those rubber rings on the G and E strings. Bridge seems not too well placed also (too much towards the fingerboard and tilted).

About the strings. Try Pirastro Tonica, You'll be surprised. I've found that for student level violins they are the best compromise between price and sound. They behave similar (if not better) to Dominants, but without the terrible E of the Dominants.

Thank you for the advise. Much appreciated. I will try to strings definitely because the Astrea's sound is not really good. G and E sound terrible. I am really new in violin, I am just wondering is my tailpiece applicable with loop end string? and should I use the ball end strings or loop for the Pirastro Tonica strings? Thanks.

May 7, 2010 at 04:24 PM please anyone correct me if I'm wrong but the bridge looks like it could do with a little 'reshaping' (the feet don't seem to perfectly match the body of the violin and it could do with some thinning and 'trimming' too...), if you can spare the money for this that is....

May 7, 2010 at 08:06 PM Not sure about the bow. You better take the bow to a rehairer and ask if it is worth to spend the money on a rehair or a new bow. Yo can find some excellent student bows from China at very good prices (around 300 USD)

A teacher taught a course during summer 2020. She used New Quizzes to deliver the final exam in the course. The teacher is teaching this course again this summer (summer 2021). At the beginning of the summer 2021 course, the teacher copied the summer 2020 course over to the summer 2021 course. Along with all other course content, the final exam was also copied.

I copied her final exam from the summer 2021 course to my Sandbox course. I clicked through the message above and successfully edited a number of questions. However, when I returned to the summer 2021 course, I saw that the edits I had made to the quiz had been mirrored there. I thought that perhaps this has something to do with the fact that the summer 2021 course and my Sandbox course are both open, so I checked the summer 2020 course (the original course) and discovered that the edits I had made had been mirrored there also.

We just did a quick test and the issue appears to be that questions for New Quizzes are always stored in Question Banks, and you can only edit the question in the bank, i.e. each quiz isn't getting an independent copy of the question. And, since question banks appear to be per-user not per-course or per-quiz, when you edit the question from another copy of the quiz in another course, you're still editing *the* copy of the question, so that change will show across all courses.

I think that if you copy the course using import course content from the course settings, that this will probably not happen. (If you recreate the quiz by adding questions from the same bank it will almost certainly happen.) I'm not sure how this works with other course copy methods, but there is good news: In the prior course, when you check the speedgrader or quiz log for individual students, you should see the original quiz unchanged.

In Course A, I created a New Quiz with two 4-answer option MCQs. I created both questions in the quiz and I added both of these questions to an Item Bank. I then acted as Student X and completed the quiz.

When I returned to Course A, in Teacher view, the edit I had made was mirrored there i.e. one of the MCQs now had a 5th answer option. I then acted as Student Y and started the quiz. Student Y received the updated version of the quiz. As Student Y, I left but did not submit the quiz.

I then returned to Course A, where my Teacher view had updated to reflect the latest version of the quiz i.e. both questions with a 5th answer option. I acted as Student Y and resumed taking the quiz. Student Y returned to the quiz version presented when she started the quiz i.e the change to the 2nd MCQ was not mirrored. Student Y submitted the quiz.

In SpeedGrader, Student Xs submission reflects the original version of the quiz (2 x 4-answer option MCQs). Student Ys submission reflects the first edit made to the quiz in Course B (1 x 4-answer option and 1 x 5-answer option).
