Places for the Conference are filling up fast, so BOOK NOW to confirm your place.

Please note that the AGM and Conference are two separate events with separate booking links. If you wish to attend both, you must book on both as we are limited with the number of attendees we can have. We cannot guarantee that there will be spare places on the day.

To book on the Conference follow the link below and select ONE of the workshops to attend. The workshops run at the same time so it is not possible to attend more than one.

10th December 2015
Kingston Maurward College, Dorchester, Dorset DT2 8PY

‘Dorset’s voluntary sector on a knife edge – charting our way to a sustainable future’

Dear Colleague,

DCA’s Board of Trustees have great pleasure in inviting you to our ‘Dorset’s voluntary sector on a knife edge – charting our way to a sustainable future’ conference organised by DCA, Dorset Communities Forum and Dorset County Council, which will look at the future for Dorset’s voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations.

If you are concerned about the future for your organisation and want to find out more about the local impact of national policy changes locally, and participate in workshops to help shape how we will work with the statutory sector in Dorset, you will not want to miss this conference.

Attendees will have the chance to hear from speakers on ‘Where government policies are going over the next 5 years and the impact on local authorities and voluntary sector’, ‘The state of Dorset – the challenges the voluntary sector faces locally’ and ‘Unitaries, devolution and DCC’s Corporate Plan’.

The conference will be held on Thursday 10th December at Kingston Maurward College, Dorchester, Dorset DT2 8PY. Doors will open from 10.00 am for registration for a 10.15am start. Please register your attendance online by going to https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/dorsets-vcse-sector-on-a-knife-edge-charting-our-way-to-a-sustainable-future-tickets-19470826767 and book onto one of the workshops.

The Agenda is attached to this email, and a map of the venue can be found on the registration page.

DCA AGM

For those wanting to find out more about the recent work of DCA, our AGM will be held before the conference, with doors open from 9.15 am and the AGM starting at 9.30am.

Attendance at the AGM is optional and we ask that you register your attendance online by going to https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/dorset-community-action-agm-tickets-19470685344

The Agenda is attached to this email and further papers will be available in print on the day. The deadline for registration at both events will be at 5.00 pm on 4th December.

We are asking attendees to complete an optional pre conference questionnaire to give a state of the sector snap shot.  Please follow this link https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/KLYYVVW.

Thank you for your help.

In the meantime, we look forward to seeing you in December.
Regards

Alan Clevett
Chairman
