Just a reminder that tomorrow (Saturday) Jeremy Rotsztain will be
hosting a workshop at ADX. Jeremy was our second presenter at Monday's
DorkbotPDX 0x09 event and will be hosting a *FREE* 4 hour workshop.

If you are interested in making computer-based digital art, this should
be a fantastic chance to learn the basics and to pick up some new
techniques if you are already experienced in Processing!

-----------------------------------------------------------

In this introductory workshop, we'll walk through a few different
approaches for creating screen-based digital artwork using code. We'll
be learning Processing (http://processing.org), a free open-source
programming language & environment for creating realtime graphics.
Processing has become an immensely popular tool for artists and
designers to create interactive artwork, data visualization and
generative processes.

The topics for the workshop include an introduction to the Processing
environment, working with images, basic animation practices and
generative art.

Some prior familiarity with programming will be helpful, though not
required.

Date: Saturday June 23rd
Workshop duration: 4 hours
Cost: Free
Location: ADX, 417 SE 11th Avenue Portland, OR 97214
Time: 1 to 5 PM
Requirements: Laptop with Processing version 1.51 installed (from
http://processing.org/download/)
RSVP: jeremy << at >> mantissa.ca
