[dorkbotpdx-blabber] Crazy estate sale

I stumbled into this FREAKING AWESOME estate sale today near 48th and
Long in SE. There's a great amount of electronics, hacker,
gadgetry...vintage stuff, audio, ham, RF, and photography gear. LOTS of
great stuff....very unusual find.

There's more of that stuff, tape recorders, reel to reel, records. I
think today was the first day, it'll probably go all weekend from like 9-5.

My coworker and I checked this out shortly after seeing Jason's video in #dorkbotpdx. It's everything Jason says it is. I only went into the shed in the back, which had a ton of stuff (receivers, the reel-to-reel, enormous speakers, heathkit audio boxes, power supplies, ham gear, assorted parts...). Once I snapped up a very nice old stereo receiver and some dirt-cheap little breadboards and battery clips, I stopped myself from investigating the rest!

Went down to the sale earlier today. Prices were rather high for what they had. But tomorrow is half off and taking offers.

I checked it out too, and some of the things I looked at were marked at more than the new retail prices I found online. Lot of stuff, might be worth going back tomorrow.
