[dorkbotpdx-blabber] TMP36 temperature sensors

Does anybody here have experience with the Analog temperature sensors
TMP36, as sold by sparkfun? I bought 4, wired 2 of them to two
cables, then tested them. The two I have NOT used seem to not work
properly, if at all. I plugged them into a wireless breadboard with a
5.3 V supply. The noise level at frequencies above a few hundred hz
is about 100 mv, but at or near DC it is much larger. My leaning over
the bench causes the output to drop and then come back, as if its
output impedance is very high. Am I just lucky that the two I have
wired seem to work OK (although the noise is higher than I would
like)? Is Sparkfun known to buy floor-sweepings?
