USB-C host question

I have a phone with USB-C and I want to run a USB terminal emulator

to connect to a USB peripheral (CH340) device.

Can I use just a USB-C male to USB-C male cable for this?

Update: In order to get it to work, I had to use an inline USC-C OTG adapter

While a USB-C male to USB-C male cable may work for some devices, it did not work for this one.

The trick is that the CC1 and CC2 pins on need to be pulled low through a 5.1k resistor.

in order for the USN-C host to recognize the device.
