As many of you know we have been using Paul Stoffregon's Alternative firmware for the uno (also known as "teensy as benito") for the usb to serial adapters in our workshops very happily for over a year now.
However, since we just ran our first workshop where most of the mac users were running lion we had a nearly 100 percent failure rate on the os that has given us the least trouble in the last 4 years.

There seems to be a major issue with lion and the code posted to the dorkbot site however that we need to debug but we don't have a lion machine to test on.

If anyone is running lion and arduino 22 or 1.0 that we could try some things with? If so it would be really appreciated.

Don.

I don't have a portable Mac, but I have a Teensy++ and I'm willing to do some experiments if you'd like...

That would be the perfect control experiment. Do you need a dorkboard for that?
I need to know if the current teensyduino code works as described here on lion.

If it does then we just need to update and or patch for the teensy 1. I suspect that it will (ie that the teensyduino libraries have been fixed to work with lion) but as I said I have no way to test.

Thanks.

Don.

I should be able to do some experimentation - I have a Dorkboard, though it's a few years old, I don't know if it has a bootloader on it. I should be able to do some experiments. I'll let you know what I find out.

If you have an arduino or another way to program the boot-loaders the boot-loader we are using is the official uno boot-loader.

I've got an FTDI cable, a USBTinyISP, a Deicimila...

If you will be at the meeting I can get you one with the uno burned on it.

With recent version of Teensyduino, you can access this code from the menu: File > Examples > Teensy > USB_Serial > USBtoSerial

Teensy 1.0 and the '162 chip is no longer tested or supported.  Please let me know if it's horribly broken?  I'll probably just remove it from future versions.
