Hey all,
I’m here to deliver the sporadic Dorkbot update!
The past few months have had great turnout, especially for the winter months when it’s traditionally been a bit slower. We’ve been having short presentations for 6 months now (give or take one month off), with topics from esoteric programming languages to to custom musical instruments. Thanks to Rumbledethumps, we have videographic evidence that you can catch up on if you didn’t make it out: https://www.youtube.com/@DorkbotPDX
The format has been pretty loose, but is coming together. We’re aiming for presentations that are about 20-25 minutes, with some Q&A time after. We have a mic and HDMI input at the ready if you’ve got a fun topic to share with the community. Send us a submission here! https://forms.gle/vf7AAZPmfGmXwaZG6
The free bin situation had gotten a bit unruly for the space; the current guidelines are to offer items on the blabber email list or on Discord, and bring them if someone would like to take them off your hands. In general, please don’t leave anything in Ctrl+H when you depart. This helps us (volunteers) keep the space clean
